With the rise in social media usage, a new platform has been created to help businesses thrive. What I am talking about is a new way for company’s to spread the word about their business to others in way they may not have been able to over a decade ago. In 2004 a social media site was created to help link people to gather and it grew into much more than that. Facebook reaching a billion individuals has the key power to helping businesses grow rapidly and CEO Mark Zuckerburg knows that. Recently Mark bought a visual gaming headset company for just over a billion and is using his site to grow this business. The way this CEO is helping smaller company’s succeed is by not charging outrageous prices but by changing by CPC. CPC stands for Cost Per Click. As found on https://www.facebook.com/business/ you can start your ads on as little as a 5 dollar a day budget which equals to 5 clicks at a dollar each. As an economical tool to grow a company FaceBook truly is one way to go. Other than from a marketing standpoint FaceBook is a tool to help network yourself to meet knew people, who down the road could be your potential employee or even business partner. FaceBook today still continues to grow in numbers and continues to produce success to more company’s than any other site. The only other network that I feel comes close to them is Google+ due to the fact that it has Hangout, Which is a more official and proper form of Skype. I included it in this brief discussion but also the title is a link to Facebook’s Business page which I found very informative yet intriguing, please feel free to click on it and explore.
