College Can Be Stressful.

Over the past year, I have had to really learn how to relax. I am the sort of person that is always stressed out, and always stressful to be around. In my quest to be more mellow, I came across a website that forever changed how I relax. The name of the website is RiffTrax. RiffTrax is an extension of a show that was on about 20 years ago called Mystery Science Theater 3000, and the idea of the show was to make fun of really b-flick style movies.

I know what you're thinking. You are thinking that sounds terrible. After one viewing of three men quietly making fun of The Wizard of Oz, you will find your opinion much changed. What Movies Have Been Riffed?

They have really done quite a few full length movies, even some more recent films such as the Harry Potter films and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. They have branched off into television as well, and have began to riff Game of Thrones. As mentioned before, you can also always find classics like The Wizard of Oz. I would not been able to laugh nearly as hard at some of these RiffTrax if I did not have the sincere love for the original films that I have. If there is one thing we can all agree on, it is that life is stressful. For everyone. One way to help with stress is by taking a moment to not take life so seriously and laugh. I am a pretty grumpy human being most of the time. I can sit down and listen to these guys make fun of Tin Man and just howl.

It’s true, you might still hate it, but you might not. I grew up with four brothers, and my brothers and their friends used to make me laugh until my sides hurt. This is the only time since being in a household filled with all of my brothers that I have laughed that hard.
