For those of you out there who are foodies like me, you may
have come across Buzzfeed’s Tasty by now. Tasty is a sub-page in Buzzfeed that
was recently developed, and let me tell you, Tasty is doing it right.
First of
all, from a marketing standpoint, they have spread themselves across the boards
of social media. They have Facebook. They have Instagram. They have Pinterest,
Twitter, and Youtube. The list goes on, and they have huge followings on each
of these sites. People can’t get enough of it, myself included. Whenever I am
mindlessly scrolling through my news feed, I find myself looking for a new video
from them. Why? Because their content rocks.
From an entertainment standpoint to the consumer, they’ve
got it all there as well. They have a cute little logo, play catchy background music, and the quality of videos and pictures make you want to lick your screen. Their
recipes are easy enough for anyone to make, and they wrap the whole thing up in
just a couple of minutes. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve seen anything over two
minutes. This is important, because if I’m checking out a new recipe, I want to
know quickly whether or not it’s going to be something I’d enjoy. Not that I’m
picky. Let’s be honest; I will eat practically anything.
Which brings me to the most important point, their recipes are not only
easy and quick, they are ridiculously good. No, this is not just my love for
food talking. They’re that good. I’ve tried several recipes thus far and have
not been in the least bit disappointed. They are also creative, putting unique
twists on things that will leave you thinking, ‘Why didn’t I think of that?’
For example, see their Cheese Stuffed Pizza Pretzels.
If you’re looking for a little creative inspiration or
are up to trying new things, I would recommend Tasty as a good place to start.
You just might find your new go-to for potlucks, parties, dinner, or snacks.
