Are you Hooked? And Not on Phonics.

What is Hooked?
Hooked is a free mobile app to discover exclusive short-term offers (most offers only last a few hours) from restaurants on and around a few select campuses here in the USA. Hooked is currently being used at the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, University of Wisconsin, University of Illinois, and the University of Texas.
Who Can Use Hooked and on What Devices?
Everyone! My co-worker, who attends the University of Michigan, kept insisting I download the app. I briefly looked at it through the app store, but as soon as I saw “University of Michigan” I thought it was for students only. He reassured me that you do not need a student ID, and that I could use the app. All I had to do was download the app and sign in. You can sign in through Facebook or create an account with your email address. You can download this app on your phone or to your tablet.

Why Would I Want to be Hooked?
Because it saves you money and is incredibly easy! All you need to do is open the app and browse all the offers that are available. Once you've decided on what you would like to eat from the available choices, just show up at the business and tap the “Get Hooked” button once you’re inside. You must show your server the deal on the app before placing an order and you cannot pay through the app, so you must have your form of payment on you at the time of purchase. No more coupon cutting or Yelp searching, just make sure your phone is charged!
Why should a business get customers Hooked?

Per Hooked’s website, over 30,000 downloads of this app have already occurred and includes over 300 restaurants in the select cities.  It is a great way to get instant deals on food and beverages and a great way for a business to attract new customers. I tend not to eat at a new place if I have to pay full price because money is short and I would be disappointed to spend money on something I did not like. This is a great way for people like me to get out and adventure downtown.
