"L'Eggo My Eggo"

This articled described how Kellogg Company, a business primarily known for breakfast food, brought back a Tag line that was originated in the 1970's. I can remember growing up watching nickelodeon and often seeing the commercial advertisements for Kellogg's infamous waffles and other breakfast products.

When this tag line was "relaunched", one of the vice presidents  from the company was extremely excited to bring back a trend from the history of the company, stating: "What is really different about this campaign is that we're taking a tag line from the 1970's and making it relevant today,". #L"EggoMyEggo was not trending on twitter, however, The thirty second advertisement created by Kellogg could easily be shared via twitter, Facebook and Instagram for a lower price then a thirty second advertisement  would cost on a prime time television network. I think the strategy to relaunch the tag line is genius because "Gen-Y" babies are going to be majority of every overall market by 2020. It is important for Kellogg to get the brand of Eggo Waffles back into consumers minds by advertisements like these. The advertisement does a great job of incorporating relevant materials like smart phones, and idealistic lives like having breakfast with a family, for consumers to relate with.
